| Mr. George Kaplanis holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MSc in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Renewable Energy Sources and H2 Technologies, both from City University of London. He has more than 20 years of working experience in the fields of RES, H2 Technologies and EV’s. He is the Head of H2 Technologies Department at MES Energy SA while being an Expert Evaluator on H2 Techs & EV's at the EU / Research & Innovation (on Transport, Storage, Production & Battery sector) since 2015. In the past he has also worked as Director of Sales and Development at Automotive Solutions SA dealing with Electric Vehicles and EV Charging Solutions, as Director of HFC’s Department at Tropical S.A., as well as being the owner of FCH-Tech and Freelance Engineer for RES and Building Energy Auditing. He has active participation as Project Manager, Scientific Responsible and/or LEAR on more than 14 European & National Research and Innovation Projects (under FP5, FP7, H2020), all of them related to Hydrogen-Fuel Cell Technologies and EV’s. Moreover, he has participated in many National & European conferences and fairs being a key speaker at Hannover Fair – H2FC from 2004 till 2015, several related publications as a co-author and has accredited an Honorary recognition by the Chairman of Microsoft, Mr Bill Gates, for the design and development of innovative products on H2 Technologies. |
